Bekah needed artwork for a series of single releases that reflected her personal stories of grief, healing, and belonging. I developed a cohesive illustration style that felt intimate, expressive, and true to her voice.
Stock-driven album covers wouldn't capture the depth or personal meaning behind her music. She needed a visual identity that felt handcrafted and emotionally aligned with her sound.
Use a flat vector illustration style anchored in her favorite color (blue) to create a timeless, recognizable look that connected the singles into a unified visual story.
Symbolism rooted in lyrics and personal experience
Each cover drew from Bekah's own memories: cosmic light for hope (You Belong Here), father-daughter memories on a dock (Daddy's Little Girl), and heart-shaped states representing home (Home).
Cohesive visual system for continuity
Built a style centered on shape, silhouette, and color that unified three distinct songs into a recognizable brand while allowing each piece to stand alone.
Optimized for streaming platforms
Designed scalable artwork that maintained clarity and impact at small sizes, ensuring the covers worked across Spotify, Apple Music, and social media.
Led visual strategy and illustration direction, conducted research based on lyrics and personal stories, developed concepts through iteration, and delivered final assets optimized for streaming platforms.
You Belong Here
Released for Suicide Awareness Month, this piece shows a silhouetted woman walking toward radiant light. The type rests at her feet as a visual affirmation for anyone struggling with dark thoughts. The long shadow reinforces the weight of those feelings, while the cosmic palette brings hope.

Daddy’s Little Girl
A deeply personal piece about Bekah's relationship with her father, showing a young girl and her dad holding hands on a dock at sunset. Based on Bekah's own memories of boating and childhood, I adjusted the illustration to reflect her father's real appearance. The goal was to capture a bittersweet memory with warmth and tenderness.

Home
Inspired by Bekah’s journey through multiple states, this illustration weaves together three heart-shaped symbols: one for each state that holds part of her story. The corn stalk honors her new home in Nebraska, while elements like the Tennessee skyline and flag motifs reflect the places she’s called home. As a nurse, the theme of “home” is layered with care, movement, and personal growth.

I want you to know that it means so much to me that you took the time to hear my life story and the stories behind my songs. You have absolutely captured my heart and intentions in such an individual and perfect way! Your art work and expertise on building my brand has been amazing and I believe that my music career is ready to go to the next level and the album art is a huge part of that!
